1. 解釋：指人極端固執，不願改變

如用英文直譯的話就變成了 a dead cow never turns its neck.

在英語中其實stubborn, wilful都能表達這個意思

As stubborn as a mule【俚語、比喻】像騾子一樣頑固，脾氣固執

His mother is just as stubborn as a mule. He has told her a million times that this project is not going to work. But she simply wouldn’t listen.

他媽媽冥頑不靈，他早告訴過她幾百次這案子是不行的，但她就是聽不下去。

Hardheaded 頑固的，愚蠢的，固執的

除以上詞或短語外，還有 pigheaded、stick in the mud 也可以表達此意思

2. 形容然明明理虧仍強詞奪理，或明知有錯仍不願改正，死不認錯
如果就字面意思理解的話就成了「死了的雞，雞腳還撐開鍋蓋 (The dead chicken props up the rice lid)」。

Grasp at straws【俚語、比喻】

看英文字面意思是抓救命稻草，來看看具體的例子

He can’t answer the teacher’s question. He was just grasping at straws.
他不知道回答老師的問題，他不過在撈救命稻草。

Clutch at straws【俚語、比喻】
意思同上，只是另外一種說法而已

3. 裝成蟹的樣子 to pretend to be a crab

實際意思是裝模作樣、裝瘋賣傻

表達這個意思的詞或短語有 pretend、put on、affected、play the fool
That small boy is always playing the fool during lessons.

那個小男孩總是在課堂上裝傻。
