Several days ago we handled one project related to machinery, since the client asked to write down the mistakes in a separate Excel, not making any note in the typesetted PDF documents, so take longer time to do LSO (Linguist Sign Off) work for the documents, while handling the project, in my opinion, we should focus on the following aspects.
1. Untranslated Parts
In the typesetted PDF document, there are some paragraphs and several words untranslated, we all need to write down them one by one in the separate Excel sheet and write the simple description for them, so that the client could understand where is wrong, here take some examples for us reference.

I think it would be better to translate them in the target language, not keep English.
In my opinion, it should be translated as ‘目录’, not keep English here.

2. Missing Figures
In some pages of the typesetted PDF document, there are some figures missing. While we do LSO work, also need to list down them one by one and write the corresponding description to the issue, so that the client could realize the issue, then make change to them in the updated file, here list some examples for us reference.

From the comparison, as we can see, there is one figure is missing in the target language, so we need to write it into the separate Excel sheet and let the client know it.

From the above example, we could easily find the figure in the source is missing the target language, so need us to write it down in the separate Excel sheet and fill in the corresponding description to it.
3. Typesetting Format Issue
In the target PDF document, there are also some typesetting format issue, here list several for us reference, and we also need to write down the issue in the separate Excel sheet, then let the client know, so that the client could correct them.
In this example, as we could see, the second full stop should not put at another line. Thus, we also need to point out the issue in the separate Excel sheet, in this project, there are lots of such issue, so we would have to list them one by one, and write the corresponding description.
For the above example, there should be added a blank line between two paragraphs, while do LSO work, also need to list this issue into the Excel sheet.
4. Figures, Table, etc. need to be localized
And in the project, there are lots of figures, tables etc without localizing, and keep English format in the target language, so we need to list them down carefully in the separate Excel sheet, and let the client know, so that make the corresponding change to them, here list several example for us reference.
In my opinion, the word in the above figure should be localized as ‘图 2’.
In this figure, I think ‘Table 1’ should be localized as ‘表 1’, not keep English here.
Anyway, to do LSO work, it is a serious and responsible work process, thus we could not be too careless while do such work.
