Always respect and listen to what your opponent say in the negotiation process, if you want to express that you know their standpoints. You can say: “ I see what you mean. ” Also, you can say “ That’s a good idea ! ” or “ I agree with you ” to express your approval. To accept with additional conditions, we can say “ On the condition that … ” (for example: We accept your proposal, on the condition that you order more than 10,000 pieces.)

When you negotiate with a foreign businessman (especially from Occident ),any different opinion? If yes, please speak out frankly (for example, if you do not agree with your opponent’s idea ), you can say:I don’t think that’s a good idea. Or frankly, we can’t agree with your proposal.

Using “ We are not prepared to accept your proposal at this time ” to decline other people’s proposal.

Sometimes, It should be made the reasons clear, (such as, to be quite honest, we do not believe this product will sell well in local area. )

Misunderstanding is inevitable during a negotiation because of verbal communication. If this is the case, simply say:No, I am afraid you misunderstood me. What I was trying to say was…….. Or “ Oh I am sorry, I misunderstood you, then I go along with you ” to clear the air and take some chances to turn it around.
